BCA is pleased to invite you to the next webinar in our Deforestation series, taking place on 30th November.
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) entered into force at the end of June, and gave operators and traders 18 months to implement the new rules – with a longer timescale for small and micro enterprises. The regulations require businesses to trace the origin of their coffee back to the plot of land within which it was produced, and then report this data.
For this webinar, BCA Executive Director Paul Rooke will be joined by Peter Horsten, the Chief Growth Officer at AgUnity.
AgUnity is at the forefront of a supply chain revolution, leveraging digital solutions to transform smallholder farmer value chains. Their mission is to empower smallholder farmers worldwide by providing them with secure and efficient digital tools, including a comprehensive member registration system for cooperatives, complemented by field agents who collect additional data to enrich farmer profiles.
Their platform serves as a cooperative management system, collecting comprehensive insights from every node within the value chains, even reaching the most remote smallholder farmers in developing regions.
In this webinar, we will explore how AgUnity’s pioneering work, which predates the European Union’s Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), can be a valuable ally for businesses, cooperatives, and farmers in meeting the regulatory requirements. We will also host a Q&A session, addressing any inquiries related to AgUnity’s initiatives and the broader regulatory landscape.
Join us for an insightful discussion on how digitising smallholder farmer value chains is shaping the future of agriculture and commerce.
